The Merz magnetometer is an instrument for measuring the intensity of magnetic fields. It was produced in the German workshops Merz.
INSIGHTS
The tool is made up of a magnetized needle, suspended at the center by a long ruler carrying a mirror. With the optical reflection phenomenon, the ruler and the mirror makes possible to measure the rotation angle under the action of a magnetic field.
