The Olivetti Quaderno is a portable computer produced by the Italian Olivetti in 1992. Compared to the contemporary machines, it was characterized by its extremely reduced weight and size. It weighed in fact about a kilo, and was about as large as an A5 sheet except for its thickness. Another peculiar feature of the Quaderno was the possibility, thanks to a built-in microphone and speakers, that it could be used as a recorder. Thanks to the recording, playback and stop buttons on the outside of the body, it was possible to use this feature even when the computer was closed.
