FREQUENCY METER BC-221-Q

The BC-211-Q frequency meter is a precision instrument created to measure or radiate radio frequency pulses between 125 and 20,000 kHz. It is a portable, completely autonomous instrument, mainly used to calibrate radio receivers and field transmitters.

Insights

The BC-221 frequency meter is a precision instrument used to measure or generate signals at radio frequencies between 125 kHz and 20 MHz. It is a portable, completely autonomous instrument, mainly used to calibrate military radio receivers and transmitters. Calibration takes place by direct comparison (beat) of the frequency to be measured with that generated by the internal variable frequency oscillator (VFO), which is in turn calibrated using a quartz crystal oscillator. Each frequency meter has its own calibration book.

The VFO operates in two switched ranges: 125 to 250 kHz and 2 to 4 MHz. The 2nd, 4th and 8th harmonics of the low frequency range are used to cover the frequencies from 250 kHz to 2 MHz, while the 2nd, 4th harmonic and 5th harmonic of the high frequency range were used to cover frequencies from 4 MHz to 20 MHz.

Six BA-2 batteries (22.5V each), four BA-23 batteries (1.5V each), and P-18 or P-20 headphones are required for operation. You can also use the HS-30 headset.
